I really like this place. When I come here, I just need to sit down and show them the pictures. I don't even need to pick the colors myself. They always surprise me!
I’ve been coming to this salon for a while and have always had great experiences, which is why this visit was so disappointing. I got a Gel-X fill just a few days ago, and the application was not done well. The French tip polish already has uneven spots, holes, and is starting to chip after only a couple of days. The nails were also cut much shorter than I asked for, and the shape isn’t what I requested. During the appointment, the technician spent most of the time talking to other workers instead of listening to what I wanted, and they were also a bit rough while working on my nails. I understand the salon was very busy that day, but I don’t think that should affect the quality of the service or the attention given to a customer. I usually leave this salon happy, but this time I was really disappointed with both the service and the quality of the work. I hope this was just a one-time experience because I’ve always enjoyed coming here before.
Terrible communication & service. I called before i came in asking how much acrylic toes with french tip was and I was told $38. I thought it was cheap when i was on the phone but I asked again and said “38?” and the person on the phone said yes. When I was seated and already starting my service the lady informs me that the price is actually 73 dollars because i’m getting acrylic and french tip and that regular pedicure was only 38. I had no choice but to continue the service while they side eyed eachother. She did not peep my feet or give me a good service, she just went in straight with the acrylic. I am so upset that I came and expected a certain price and it was changed while I couldn’t walk away from the service. She also cut my cuticles and skin.
The issues I have: service price changes & customer service while at your appointment. I have long natural nails. The dip powder price on the board is $45. When I went a few weeks ago, I was told $55 because my nails are long. The dip powder process takes pretty much the same amount of time for long or short nails. I was annoyed because when I called to make appointment I advised I had long nails, wasn't told about an additional fee. Their fee for services sign doesn't list it. I go back yesterday for my appointment. The nail tech looks at my nails, turns to her boss-Ivy, they speak about me in their language. She tells me, You cut nails? I say no and I tell her I already know it's $55 dollars. She now has an attitude but sits me in a pedicure chair, then tells me I have to soak nails first and after, hands me off to someone else for pedicure. When I finally get to the nail tech, its not the original girl. Now he sees my nails and complains to his boss-Ivy, in his language and then is telling me $5 extra. So I tell him I know, its $55. He tells me $60! So now I am really upset because how? His boss, Ivy- rudely tells me I have to cut my nails or its $60. I tell her you heard me tell the girl earlier I paid $55 a few weeks ago and that this ridiculous. Why wait to start your nonsense after my nails have already been wrapped to soak off previous powder? I told her this is a nasty way to do business. You just charge whatever you want? None of this is on their fee sign but they do have signs up about the 3.99% credit card fee charge & no cash refunds. Unfortunately they leave you with no real option to leave because your nails are saturated in acetone w/ cotton wrapped in foil. Smh. *With a tip total for just this service $70. I'll be going elsewhere.
